Cysteinyl leukotriene production and receptor binding are involved in the pathophysiology of asthma and allergic rhinitis (e.g., airway edema, involuntary muscle contractions) and alter cellular function, resulting in asthmatic signs and symptoms.
Monas 10 Dosage and Administration
- For adults and adolescents 15 years of age and older: 10 mg Monas 10 mg tablets once a day.
Pediatric Patients (Suffering from Asthma or Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis):
- For pediatric patients 6 to 14 years of age: Montelukast 5 mg tablet once daily.
- For pediatric patients 2 to 5 years of age: 4 mg montelukast tablets once daily.
